Anjali Ajit Patil, proprietor of Anjali Enterprises, trading as Ashanjali Apothecary ("we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through ashanjali.in and our WhatsApp orders, why we collect it, who we share it with and how we protect it. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
• Delivery details: your shipping and billing address and pincode.
• Order details: what you bought, gift messages, order history and messages you send us.
• Payment details: the payment status, method and a reference number from Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI PINs and bank logins are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by us.
• Chat messages: questions you type into the chat on this website are sent to an AI model run by Cloudflare to write the answer. We do not store the chat text; we keep only daily counts of chat use, against an anonymised code that changes every day, to stop abuse. The conversation stays in your browser tab until you close it. Please do not type payment details into the chat.
• Technical data: basic device and browser information, IP address and cookies needed to keep your cart and sign-in working and to protect the website from abuse.

Why we use it

• to process, ship and support your orders, and issue invoices and refunds;
• to email you order confirmations, tracking links and sign-in codes, and to reply to you on WhatsApp when you message us;
• to answer your questions and complaints;
• to send one reminder email if you leave a checkout unfinished, and, after delivery, care tips and one request for a review; a second reminder, refill reminders and offers go only to people who agree at checkout, and every such email has a link to stop them;
• to keep the website secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with:

• Razorpay, to process payments and refunds;
• courier and shipping partners, to deliver your order (name, address and phone number);
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website, sends our emails and runs the AI model that answers the website chat;
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there;
• government or law-enforcement authorities, when the law requires it.

How we protect it

The website is served only over HTTPS. Payments are handled by Razorpay, which is PCI DSS compliant. Access to order data is limited to the people who fulfil your order, and admin access is password protected.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (currently up to 8 years). We delete other personal data when it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage to remember your cart and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, update or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent to marketing messages, or nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email ajinkya@ashanjali.in or hello@ashanjali.in and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
